With only a short walk, bus ride, or boat ride to Downtown, the Navy Yard works great for the Financial District commuters. The Charlestown Navy Yard has some great restaurants that I enjoy; the Navy Yard Bistro has a delicious hanger steak, and I like to order my egg sandwiches at Style Cafe in Flagship Wharf in the morning. Starboard Place should certainly be considered if you are interested in living in the Charlestown Navy Yard.
